Measurement Guide
When measuring your lawn use this simple measurement turf guide. Once you have your measurements, contact our grass supplier HQ and we'll provide you with a turf quote.
If you have trouble measuring your lawn area, one of our friendly turf installers will provide you with a free turf measurement at your location.
Remember to always add 5% extra onto your measurements to allow for turf cuts when completing turf installation of your new lawn.
Measuring a Rectangle or Square
Multiply the length x width
For example: 12m x 7m = 84m2
Measuring a Triangle
Multiply the base x height and divide by 2
For example: 10m x 6m ÷ 2 = 30m2
Measuring a Circle
Measure the diameter of the circle. Divide the diameter by 2 and you will get the radius. Multiply the radius by 2 and then multiply the total by 3.14 to get the total area of the circle.
For example: 16m diameter ÷ 2 = 8 radius, 8m radius x 8 = 64, 64 x 3.14 = 200.96m2
If you have an unusual shaped area, break the area up into smaller areas to work out the measurements and then add the areas together.
